Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast
Enjoy a refreshing Kenyan safari that combines the open plains of Amboseli with the peaceful shores of Lake Naivasha. Watch wildlife with Mount Kilimanjaro as a backdrop, enjoy a scenic boat ride on the lake, and leave room for quiet afternoons at your lodge. This journey is designed for travellers who want to explore at a comfortable pace without changing destinations every day.
Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli — Settle into the Safari
Depart Nairobi after breakfast and travel to Amboseli, enjoying the changing scenery along the way. On arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy lunch. Keep the afternoon free to relax, take in the views, and prepare for the days ahead. If you arrive early and feel energetic, an optional short game drive may be arranged.
Accommodation: Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, Ol Tukai Lodge, or a comparable mid-range property, subject to availability.
Day 2: Amboseli — Wildlife and Mountain Views
Enjoy a morning game drive when temperatures are cooler and wildlife may be more active. Look out for elephants, zebras, giraffes, and other animals across Amboseli’s open plains. Return to the lodge for lunch and a proper afternoon break. An optional late-afternoon game drive can be arranged for guests who want more time in the park.
Accommodation: Same lodge in Amboseli.
Day 3: Amboseli — A Second Day to Explore Slowly
There is no need to rush today. Enjoy breakfast before choosing a morning game drive or a slower start at the lodge. Spend the middle of the day resting, enjoying the facilities, or taking photographs around the property. If you choose another drive, your guide can explore different areas depending on wildlife movements and park conditions.
Accommodation: Same lodge in Amboseli.
Day 4: Amboseli to Lake Naivasha — A Scenic Change of Landscape
After breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha. This is a substantial road-transfer day, so the journey should include suitable breaks and a relaxed lunch stop where practical. Arrive in the afternoon, check in, and enjoy the quieter lakeside atmosphere. Keep the rest of the day free rather than scheduling a demanding activity after the drive.
Accommodation: Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort, Simba Lodge, or a comparable mid-range property.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha — Boat Ride and Lakeside Relaxation
Start the day with breakfast and, if you wish, take a guided boat ride on Lake Naivasha to see its birdlife and look for hippos from a safe distance. Return to the lodge for lunch and free time. The afternoon is yours to relax, enjoy the gardens, or simply appreciate the lake views.
Accommodation: Same lodge at Lake Naivasha.
Day 6: Lake Naivasha — Choose Your Own Adventure
Enjoy a flexible day with no compulsory early start. Guests who want a little adventure can arrange an optional guided walk at Crescent Island, subject to access and conditions. Alternatively, stay at the lodge and enjoy a peaceful day by the lake. Optional activities should be selected in advance so there is enough time for both exploring and resting.
Accommodation: Same lodge at Lake Naivasha.
Day 7: Lake Naivasha to Nairobi — An Easy Finish
Have breakfast and enjoy a relaxed morning before checking out. Travel back to Nairobi, with a possible scenic stop along the Great Rift Valley route if timing allows. Arrive in Nairobi later in the day, depending on traffic and the chosen drop-off location.
Accommodation: No overnight stay included. End of safari: Nairobi.
